The beginning of a new adventure
Anamena from Spain is about to start her Service as a European Volunteer in Southern Germany. In order to prepare herself she reads books in German and gathers all information she can get. People living in Upper Bavaria are welcome to contact her!
The beginning of a journey is always hard and now I am in that stage. I am about to become a European Volunteer and for some reason I feel really apprehensive about it.
I am afraid that I will feel alone and isolated and that I won't like the tasks I have to do.
However, one of the Volunteers who is already there, told me that "sie fühlt sich sehr gut und sie könne sich nichts Besseres vorstellen." That is a relief but I am still nervous about it.
I am now reading books in German to get used to it and I am also trying to find as much information as I can about the European Volunteer Service. If you read my diary and if you are from Southern Germany I would love to be in touch with you.
I will work in Schongau in a social project of the EU called "Herzogsägmühle". I will work both in the office and in the recreation activities. The most frightening thing is that I don't know if I will enjoy the tasks but every adventure is somewhat frightening. In my next chapter I will write about my first impressions there
