8. Erasmus + Wettbewerb „My Special Person – Our Story“: And the winner is….

Since I heard about the Erasmus program I never gave up on the idea to do it. I can be pretty obsessive and Erasmus was one of my obsession. So the second semester of the second year of bachelor was the right time for me. As the good obsessive person I am, I was kind of fascinated by the Erasmus in my class in France. And last year there was a Slovak exchange student in my class.

In 2009, I fell in love with a Finnish girl and went to visit her during two seasons, Summer and Winter. These travels became some of my dearest and beautiful moments in my life.

I met my role model at the University of Padua. He was a "crazy genius" whom people either hated or loved. But I admired him because he showed me the "Secret elixir of youth".

My stay as a volunteer in Hungary turns out to be a life-time experience due to the local people, the other volunteers and lastly the journey itself.

Clinging onto our past friendships holds us back from growing up and meeting other great people who live in our lifetime. When the ten year bond I had with someone who felt like family started to dissolve right before a trip that was booked together three months in advance, I carried on with the plans and went to Milan anyways to find out I was more comfortable with a new friend I made in two days, than with the old friend I parted ways with.

It's just my amalgam of flashbacks and some other descriptions of my feelings towards this special person of mine and other situations that I came across during both my Erasmus for studies and my EVS.
