Not every dictionary will find the meaning of GuMo, Lol and other similar "words". The short wording of the chat and the rigid framework of the social network Twitter, which allow a maximum of 140 characters for each tweet, make it necessary to use abbreviations that take on a life of their own. No wonder there were such concepts as Twitteratur (English, German. Twitter literature) or Twittekette (English, German. Twitter etiquette).
But innovations are often bewildered even by the average German resident. How do you like this messaging:
- Hallo i bims!
- Was 4u 1 Post von @ mu15mann?
- Lol, u2?
- Huahuehuahue. Cu!
But this is only an exchange of greetings, after which one asks: how do you get the message of Musterman (that is, the name of the river)? Another answers: yes, just laugh, but what do you think? Really funny, assures the source and adds: "See you!"
The complexities of Internet jargon are caused not only by cryptographic abbreviations, but also by the fashion of defrauding errors, akin to the Russian “Preved Medved”.
On Twitter and other social networks, mistakes are not really welcome. One of the rules of tvittiket: write correctly! But this is more likely for corporate users and celebrities - so as not to drop themselves. Unorganized online public loves to make fun. In order to participate equally in such communication, you need to understand the rules of the game.
And they are not always the same. In some cases, mistakes are made, really, through ignorance. In others, out of solidarity with the illiterate. In the third - as a play on words under the guise of their distortion. For example, mock umlauts (sterken instead of stärken, mute. Strengthen; Gescheft instead of Geschäft, mist. Business, shop). A similar smile about unpronounceable or half-consuming consonants (höhren instead of hören, silently hear, listen; überhaupt instead of überhaupt, silently in general). Or even virtuoso constructions, for example: Tribute vong Pamen is the warped name of the fashionable novel The Hunger Games by Susan Collins. In Germany, the book was published under the title Die Tribute von Panem. The change of consonants in the name of the mythical country Panem (this is generally typical of "playing aships": using n instead of m and vice versa), as well as the trendy word vong instead of preposition von, is striking.
About vong worth talking specifically. He has no eigenvalue. But this is not just a distorted form of von, but a reception of speech expression. Vong is most often used in conjunction with her particle for the comic underscore of a word placed between them. Example: Das Wetter ist schön vong Sonne her (the weather is beautiful, like the sun). By all appearances, this is, of course, the word parasite, but here it is used with meaning - to raise the mood.
From social networks, speech constructs with vong ... her and other neoplasms, say, the replacement of indefinite articles with the number 1 (meaning ein, eine, etc.), moved to other spheres.
Especially the liking of slang fell to advertisers. Calculation - for instant popularity. So, famous banking slogan Gönn Dir ist einfach. Wenn man 1 gute Bank hat vong Vorsorge her. A literal translation is impossible, but the point is this: it is easy to afford something pleasant if there is a good bank that shows the type of care for old age (that is, offering the appropriate form of cash accumulation).
