Games undoubtedly play a big role in our socialization and today games can -potentially- have an increased educational role. Therefore, learning how to play fairly is crucial; I have to agree with you on that. However, a big question remains: does "playing by the rules" and henceforth in accordance with some criteria of "fairness", guarantee a just outcome? Let's open the floor for some discussion :D

I apologize for the late reply. To your point about "playing by the rules" and it being able to guarantee a just outcome, I am not sure what you mean by just. People all across the world for ages have thought of it in terms of time and effort put in= more reward for individuals that exhibit that behavior. But even though we do that we have a hard time deciding which contributions matter more than others. With that said, there will never be a level playing field. Think of the writing industry, there are mediocre writers, and excelent writers, the outcomes will never be just, if by just you mean equal, because for every thousands young Cristopher Paolini's, there is one J.K. Rowling, and it shows. If you don't believe me, read his work, preferably you should start with "Eragon" and you will get my drift.
