Dressing or not dressing
The impact of your fashion choices on the ecosystem and human freedom
Did you know that the clothing industry is one of the most polluting in the world? Yes, the very pieces of fiber we wear on ourselves, in addition to keeping us warm, dry, extravagant, covered, confident and colored, have taken a destructive turn. Soil, water, air, human resources (exploitation and destruction of local producers) and psychological freedom are literally raped during the whole process of production of the raw material, transformation, transport and sale. All this with enormous waste of resources and energy.
So, first of all, let's say NO to fast fashion, the sector of the clothing industry that produces poor quality goods offered for sale at low prices and renewed in a very short time, including most of the stores in shopping centers and market stalls. If you really can't do without the aberrant shopping, do it in second-hand shops: here you will find magnificent garments that not even the greatest designer has ever dreamed of. By the way, why not be your own stylists? Dedicate yourself to cutting / patchwork, creating extravagant ones; launch into daring combinations and exchange items with relatives and friends. Empty the wardrobes: select the necessary and rediscover old pearls (grandparents' cabinets!).
I can't hide my minimalist philosophy of changing less often! Give the dress the true value, make it especially colorful and use it with care.
Don't be afraid of looking "weird".
