Imagine they put you in one room with 20 complete strangers. Just white chairs, whiteboards, some maps, markers, some blue cubes with a single letter on each, coffee, tea, water, Ikea cookies. That’s it. Nobody knows anybody. What do you do? I, for instance, become friends with them - not only on Facebook and Instagram, but also, wait for it, in real life. And you know what they call the situation when all other 20 people do the same thing and become friends with each other? They call it… EVS Seminar.

In dieser Woche neigt sich eine weitere short term-Runde ihrem Ende und ich kann gar nicht glauben, wie schnell die Zeit schon wieder verflogen ist… Gerade waren wir noch in Kéked, in Nordostungarn, auf dem On Arrival-Training und schon muss ich mich von den ersten Freiwilligen wieder verabschieden, weil sie uns bereits vor dem gemeinsamen Evaluationstag am Mittwoch verlassen werden.

Erstaunlich viel Sonne, wenig Schlaf, schmerzende Füße und viele, einmalige Erinnerungen!

Die letzten drei Tage habe ich mit meiner Mitbewohnerin Mercy in Prag verbracht. Je mehr wir herumgelaufen sind, desto mehr haben wir gesehen und je mehr wir gesehen haben, desto mehr hat uns die Stadt überwältigt. Wie Franz Kafka einst sagte: „Prag lässt nicht los.“ :)
