The project consisted of a media-educational approach to the central questions related to immigration and integration of foreign national kids in the inner city of Dublin.
The project has been carried out between February and May 2006 and was implemented with the help of several young foreign nationals that were an essential part of the project.
Content (in brief words):
What are the reasons for young foreigners to come to Ireland? How are their specific needs met by the local authorities and agencies. And what does the multicultural turn of the Inner city mean for the indigenous residents and the area itself? These are the central questions I tried to answer in this 70 minutes radio-feature. And in a more general way the feature also tries to show certain criteria that have to be fulfilled in order to positively implement a working concept of integration of foreign nationals. All of these aspects shown on the example of the Inner City of Dublin.
