Ways to be grateful for plants: the necessity of a regenerative agriculture
Plants are those organisms that effortlessly transform and make solar energy available to most of the rest of Life on Earth. Autotrophic organisms are the basis of every biological resource (food, energy, medicine) that living beings benefit from. They are an incredibly fascinating, complex, perfect and unconditionally sustainable world. We humans must remember our ecological role, recognizing the need and taking inspiration from it. In addition to remembering our unconscious gathering impulse, today I name some of the myriad techniques present in this world for regenerative agriculture, which not only takes into account human needs but which gives the respect due to the ecosystem services on which we all depend. At its origin lies the conservation and exchange of seeds, a true expression of freedom and self-determination. We aim to create interconnected closed-loop systems in which organic matter abounds: the most representative example is the ecological garden / food forest / agroforestry which will be a primary space in society (in private land, flowerbeds / public parks, field margins, abandoned lands ..). The concept of agriculture as collaboration and non-exploitation of nature is demonstrated by agroecological practices: use of perennials, mulching, organic home and natural preparations, compost, cultivation without processing; it can arrive at the unique and special conception of natural agriculture or of "not doing". In the city, let's fill the balconies and every green space (guerrilla gardening!), create the best compost through earthworm cultivation and strengthen human relationships with community urban gardens (condominiums, villages, associations) and, why not, with the creation of a network for collection of forgotten domestic trees. Let's give ourselves great felicitations.. let's give ourselves happy vegetation !!!
