Boundless Love

She was a colored woman,
pink skin
amber mouth
shifting eyes shifting
shining teeth
stealing the eyes of all passers-by.
Her body had to cross a border
she was the East of the world
he is the deepest South.
Dark skin
as the dark heart
wanted to love it but didn't know how.
Didn't know if in her world
love was deep look and understand
she placed end to his fears.
Held out his hand
overcoming every human limit.
She was a woman of color
him a man who had learned the love.
